Throughout life, its safe to assume that you, or someone close to you will be affected by acne at one time or another. It can be a very daunting experience, particularly as the common time frame in which we receive acne is as an adolescent when we are at a very impressionable age. Luckily, there are quite a few ways in which we can use things found around the home to help with our acne problem.
It is a common belief that in order to truly fix your acne condition, that you must see a doctor in order to obtain a prescription, however, you can treat it by yourself in the comfort of your own home! One common method of doing this is via the use of toothpaste. As crazy as it sounds, applying toothpaste in your acne and letting it stay overnight one of the most commonly used methods of home acne treatment.
Additionally, you can also use a paste made from different species of plants. Using such things as salt and vinegar, tomatoes, lemon, dried basil, oatmeal, almond powder, orange peal, milk, nutmeg and honey among many others can be applied to the infected areas.
This type of treatment should be applied for a time period of between 15 minutes to one hour and should be followed by washing your face with warm water. By doing this once or twice a day, you will gradually notice less and less blemishes on the infected areas.
Whilst these methods will help you win the fight with acne, it is important that you don’t wait for acne to appear before trying to cure it. You should partake in practices which prevent acne from appearing in the first place. In order to do this, you should keep your face free of excess oil which is usually found in commercial cosmetic products. Furthermore, picking and squeezing of your pimples is another no no!
