What is Rosacea?

Rosacea is an extremely common skin disorder that affects many people across the world. Although Rosacea is a very irritating skin condition it doesn’t hold any serious health implications and it is benign (non cancerous) in nature.

Reports suggest that there is a massive amount of people who suffer from Acne Rosacea and in the United States alone there is an estimated 14 million people who have this skin condition.

There are some common symptoms of Rosacea that people will suffer from such as red or pink patches concentrated in the forehead, chin, cheeks or nose. Symptoms can also include broken blood vessels which it can be falsely assumed that the sufferer of Rosacea is suffering from some form of alcohol abuse as the two tend to exhibit similar physical attributes. The sufferer can also develop small red bumps that sit on the skins surface or red cysts that appear irritated and tender to touch.

Rosacea can also affect the eyes and people who suffer from this skin condition in the eyes will appear to have very red and blood shot eyes that fail to ease or get better. Unfortunately, Rosacea in the eyes can lead to more serious complications if this condition goes undetected or untreated.

It is known facts amongst the medical profession that there are many people who suffer from this skin condition are not aware of their symptoms and therefore are oblivious to the affects of this disease. In reality there are also people who recognize this condition for what it is but fail to do anything about it as they may falsely assume that there is no cure or the available cure may be very expensive. In truth this is an easily identifiable condition and can be easily treated.

It is very common for people who do suffer from Acne Rosacea to belief that they have been sunburned or they are prone to blush easily which again prevents them from seeking any medical advice.

In the next article we will lift the lid on this skin condition and discover whether this disease has anything in common with regular acne.

James Burney is a budding author who specializes in writing short stories and articles on common topics or debates. In his latest work he is attempting to find a lasting cure for spots and acne and through his work he has built a website that deals with this subject matter. The site gives free information for acne sufferers and also a unbiased review of the top ten acne treatments on the market today.

With this information he is hoping to help people reach a much better and more reliable decision when searching for a genuine acne treatment. He is also open to any new treatments that are not listed on the website with an option to including a fresh review on the website.

Amazingly, blackheads do not only affect the world of acne sufferers. They also affect those individuals who do not necessarily suffer from blackheads, and who do not generally need to consider options for acne treatment. It is these very individuals who often have the hardest time in determining how to address their blackheads – simply because they are not used to having to research, purchase, and use acne treatments. For those sufferers, what are they to do?

Firstly, a non-acne sufferer must be able to acknowledge the fact that he or she is in need of acne treatment. as it is easy to brush off a blackhead as not a form of acne and return to regular scrubbing with non-acne treatment products, ultimately leading to unsolved problems. Furthermore, this only deludes the blackhead sufferer into believing that their problem is not one to be solved with the methods used to treat acne. Instead, the best idea is for an acne sufferer to indeed acknowledge that a blackhead is evidence of acne, and that as such the form of treatment should include acne treatment.

Although this may seem a simple psychological hurdle, it is not, and the denial of the skin condition at hand is one of the biggest hurdles to getting those suffering from blackheads to address their issue with proper products that can legitimately help their problem and give them the clean and clear skin they seek.

Even if you are not a typical acne sufferer, and have had few incidences of acne in your life, if you indeed see evidence of a blackhead, you must be willing to address the problem through the means of over-the-counter acne treatment products or through a dermatologist specializing in acne sufferers. However undesired, this is the best means of achieving success in treatment.nbsp;

Everyone who suffers from acne is looking for a treatment that will work. Even though there are traditional treatments that have been around for a long time, the majority of people these days appear to be seeking natural acne medication as an effective alternative.

Acne is probably one of the most frustrating and common skin conditions that exist today. Many have tried numerous treatments with no success and have become despondent, as they believe they will have to continue suffering with this condition and will simply need to just put up with it.

This is not the case even though it may seem there is no hope left. There is natural acne medicine available that can treat acne from the source, specifically treating the reason it develops in the first place.

Why do so many products fail to work?

The answer to this question is relatively simple. The lotions, creams, gels and soaps work on the surface of the skin in an attempt to treat a pimple or blackhead. The majority are not designed to treat the cause of the problem and this means that many are simply wasting their money by purchasing products such as these. These products are basically designed to ‘zap zits’, and work on one zit at a time, until the next one appears. As you can see, you will be applying these products on a daily basis for the rest of your life, as you haven’t been attempting to cure acne from the inside.

What causes acne in the first place?

There are a few causes, such as the following:

If you have even a passing interest in the topic of acne, then you should take a look at the following information. This enlightening article presents some of the latest news on the subject of acne.

1. Avoid Scrubbing and Abrasives

Scrubbing and abrasives should be avoided. Experts have said that they irritate the skin, which should be left intact as a natural barrier against the acne-causing bacteria.

2. Sun for Beautiful Skin

As you may know, sun does kill bacteria, but it doesn’t mean that it won’t harm the skin. Note that the sun also acts as an astringent that dries, tightens and clogs the skin pores. Thus, you should just spend limited time under the sun. At least 15 minutes to the face and arms daily is enough.

3. Avoid Extremely Cold Weather

If extreme heat causes clogging of the pores, extremely cold weather causes it as well. So, avoid extremely cold weather so you don’t freeze and clog pores. It is ideal that you moisturize your face and body, and stay in temperatures ranging from 70 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit.

4. Swimming Does Help

Exercise for stress reduction by swimming in a properly treated indoor swimming pool. But, use the Ozone purified pool if possible. It is interesting to know that the swimming pool water is typically 75 to 85 degrees Fahrenheit, which is well below the normal temperature of 98.6 degrees of your body. Therefore, the swimming water cools your whole body, including the acne affected areas, while providing excellent exercise to the rest of you. This even reduces stress as well as physical attention.

5. Think Clean

Change linens, wash cloths and body towels after each use. It is for the fact that they are great places for acne-causing bacteria to grow and be reapplied to the skin later. Also, wash white facial cloths, pillow covers, as well as personal undergarments daily with Vinegar, tea tree oil or essential oils of Lime, lemon or orange so to lessen the acne-related bacterial development. It is also often suggested that you apply a natural detergent for washing.

Indeed, there are a lot of ways to control and fight acne, but maintaining a healthy lifestyle is so far the best one to consider. It is important to note that healthy lifestyles will lead you to attaining a healthier skin and a healthier body. Changing your unfavorable habits will reward you with better general health, more energy, and clearer skin to show the world.

If you were once afraid to make changes, please don’t be. Of course, the initial affects may be hard to grasp at first, but as you go on, you will find out that you can quickly learn to adapt with them.

Source: articledashboard.com

There are many people suffering from Acne and that would like to know more about this skin disorder. Here are some of the questions people need answers to when dealing with Acne:

How does Acne appear on my skin?

It seems that Acne affects the pilosebaceous units that are made of a sebaceous gland connected to a canal (the follicle), and a fine hair contained by the canal. The pilosebaceous units are found mostly on the face, neck and upper back. In teenagers a hormonal unbalance is produced during puberty and these hormones are stimulating the sebaceous glands to produce a lot of sebum. Normally the sebum is released through the opening of the follicle (the skin pore) but if it is produced in a high quantity it will clog the pore and a papule will form. Due to the bacteria that are found on the skin the papule will get inflamed and so the pimple will appear.

What are the causes of Acne?

First of all the hormonal unbalance is responsible for most of the Acne cases. Then we can add heredity as an important cause of Acne, and bacteria like staphylococcus or streptococcus that can get on the skin and form pimples.

Who gets Acne?

Most of all the teenagers develop Acne but other people of any age can have this skin disorder. Women that are pregnant, that have stopped using birth control pills and extremely stressed people can also develop Acne.

When does Acne get worse?

There are some things you should avoid because you might help Acne spread on the skin: scrubbing the skin hard, squeezing the pimples, using oily products on your face skin instead of oil-free products, smoking and consuming alcohol, and getting stressed won’t do any good for your skin.

What can I do about the Acne scars?

First of all in order to prevent scars you must treat Acne properly. If you already have scars then you should ask the dermatologists for an individualized treatment. You can try a chemical peeling, dermal-abrasion or laser abrasion but only id the doctor recommends that procedure to you.

How fast will Acne disappear if I treat it?

Most of the treatments will have a positive effect in 2-3 weeks or a few months. It all depends on how bad your Acne is and on how your skin reacts to the treatment. People who follow an anti-Acne treatment must have patience and follow the prescribed treatment exactly and soon results will be seen.

If I use the prescribed medication more frequent will it make my Acne disappear faster?

No, Acne will not go away faster, on the contrary applying a certain treatment on the skin for too many times a day might lead to skin irritation, redness and follicular plugging. All these can delay skin healing and can even have side effects if the treatment you are following is based on oral medication. Just stick to the treatment as prescribed and have patience.

Acne is the most common of all skin diseases. Nearly 85% of people between the ages of 12 and 25 suffer from it. And as many as 50% of adult men and women suffer from acne outbreaks at some point in their life.. However the other 50% are not spared from the age old question How to get rid of zits?

Taking a healthy approach to treating acne is very important. Here are a few basic tips on how to get rid of acne.

Don’t pick or press your pimples. If you do you will spread the bacteria under the skin wich will promote swelling and increase your risk of scaring.

Wash once or twice a day. But go easy, washing with soap only removes the oil from surface and not the blocked pores. Use an oil free anti-bacterial face wash containing salicylic acid such as clearpores.

Don’t use oily products like oil-based skin cleanser and moisturizers.

Don’t use cleaners with granules such as exfoliating soaps or wallnut hulls.

Facials do more harm than good. And try to use water based make-up.

Try avoiding touching your face, like resting your chin or cheeks in your hands. Fingers are very oily and full of bacteria.

Use herbal supplements to fight the acne bacteria from inside where it grows. Dandelion root, aloe vera and yellow dock a a few of the herbs wich rebuild cells and can help reduce inflammation.

Try to avoid products containing benzyl peroxide this ingredient is quite strong and reduces skin moisture and causes skin irritation and severe redness.

Use a water based product containing salicylic acid(2%) and SD alcohol 40 (1%). These medications
are used as skin treatments to treat acne, remove warts and to treat psoriasis and other skin conditions. Dermatologists recommend 2% of salicylic acid as the perfect amount to treat acne.

Don’t wait if you have pimples, we encourage you to treat your acne early. The sooner you do, the happier you will be. You also help prevent any scars that might appear in the future. If you already have scars, there is treatment available such as microdermabraision or laser skin resurfasing.

Acne scars can and do occur when you try to get rid of your acne too fast by popping your pimples. You need to take care and caution when trying to get rid of any acne fast.

Sometimes people will freak out when they have face acne and then try extreme measures to get rid of it. The first thing you should do is talk to your doctor about getting rid of and acne fast.

Scarring does and can happen anywhere on your body if you do not take good measure to treat acne.

There are products on the market that can help aid in calming acne overnight. Will they get rid of your acne fast all together? Not likely. However you can learn to calm acne pretty fast if you are willing to change your lifestyle somewhat. Diet does and can play an important role in claming acne fast.

If a pimple is deep rooted on your face and then you try to pop them, you could leave some acne scars on your face. So you must take care in trying to get rid of any face acne. These scars are not pretty and can result in a pocked appearance of the face or anywhere on the body. Again usually the result of trying extreme measures to pop pimples.

So it is best to be careful and take care when trying anything new on your face for acne. Even certain medications can leave acne scars from burning or other things. The reality is that you only have one layer of skin, so you want to do your homework before you start messing with it.

Acne scars can be treated naturally however, if they are very deep you may need to seek out medical advice and the assistance of a dermatologist to get rid of them.

But understand that you do not have to live with bad acne. It can be controlled with the proper help. If you take care of you acne in the right way you will not have to worry about acne scars.

Who wouldn’t love a hero? Who wouldn’t be able to love someone or something that’s willing and able to help you out of trouble? Then again, what if the nemesis at hand is face-scarring and social-life-threatening acne? Could there be a hero created by the medicine industry with the power to defeat this long familiar enemy of beauty conscious individuals?

Acne Medicine Solutions: Which Is Best for You

No acne medicine is thoroughly effective for everyone. What works for another may not be as effective for you. This could be due to a number of factors: skin type difference, how serious the condition at hand is, and even a person’s lifestyle.

Acne Medicine Prescribed by Your Doctor

There are certain acne medicine products that may not be purchased without a doctor’s prescription. Even if you find a way of purchasing it without your doctor’s permission, it’s still for your own good if you consult your doctor regarding the acne medicine product before using it.

Topical Antimicrobials – These acne medicine products work by attacking the bacteria causing acne to appear on the surface. As the term “topical” suggests, they are applied directly to your skin.

Topical Retinoid – This type of acne medicine product mainly uses vitamin A to unclog pores and minimize production of whiteheads and blackheads. This product however may cause a person to suffer skin irritation problems as well as heightened sensitivity to sun exposure.

Oral Antibiotics – Yes, it’s possible indeed that you can cure yourself from acne through oral medication. It’s imperative however that you use the right dosage or risk having your body immune to the medicine’s effects.

Oral Contraceptives – Although this has been effective in treating acne, remember that it was not primarily intended for such use. As a result, manufacturers hadn’t concentrated in ensuring that their products don’t have any side effects when used for treating acne.

Off the Counter (OTC) Acne Medicine

On the other hand, there are readily available acne medicine products being sold in drug stores and which don’t require a prescription from your doctor. Be sure to read the instructions carefully to ascertain that you’re not at risk of suffering from any side effects.

Benzoyl Peroxide – This is one of the most popular OTC acne medicine products being used. It may however cause a slightly painful sensation when being applied. It may also cause your skin to become dry and your hair bleached so care must be exercised when using it.

Salicylic Acid – This ingredient can be found in numerous types of OTC acne medicine products and in various forms such as creams, lotions, and even pads. It is only effective however in treating mild cases of acne.

Resorcinol – This ingredient is not as popular as the two previous OTC acne medicine solutions discussed. Nevertheless, resorcinol is able to effectively treat mild acne and in mitigating blackhead and whitehead production.

Sulfur – This is another lesser-known ingredient found in several OTC acne medicine products in spite of the fact that it has been used for more than half a century already.

Herbal Medications – Be wary when using herbal medications to treat acne because many herbal acne medicine products have not been approved by the Food and Drug Administration.
