Acne Rosacea Treatments – Where Do You Start?

Acne Rosacea treatments are difficult to come by in the first place because the cause of rosacea is unseen and internal rather that visible and external. Its hard to measure what works and when because the condition can be so sporadic and unpredictable. Because of this its important to discuss any treatments you decide upon with your doctor.

The common approach to treating acne rosacea is with steroids or other unnatural chemicals that most health conscious people understand are not necessarily good for you in the long run. Unfortunately, most people have a hard time with their treatment because they are under the impression that all they need to do is deal with the redness rather than deal with the underlying causes.

One underlying cause to this condition is an unhealthy or stagnant liver. There are many people who have a lot to say about the liver and how to heal the liver from a holistic perspective, but the nice thing to know is that it isnt complicated. Taking certain herbs can help the liver detoxify itself. Although the release of toxins can be a hard experience and may even cause your acne rosacea to flare up, its good to know that this is dealing with the root of the problem rather than just deal with the red surface.

If you need to immediately treat your acne rosacea redness, its highly recommended that your choose an all natural course rather than a course where you will be loading you liver up with unnatural substances. There are several healthy options on the market, so be encouraged. Also, its important to know that, wherever you are in your healing process, there are millions in the world who suffer from acne rosacea and so be comforted that you are not alone.

There are so many options on the market today, its hard to know what works. Its also difficult to know what particular approach to take since the condition is so dependent on each persons individual chemistry. Why So Many People Are Treating Acne Redness the Wrong Way

Author: Susie Oprey

Acne redness is a major problem for many people and yet there are some basics that many are also ignoring – one of the key things being the right cleaning process.

You need to be aware of exactly what your skin condition is and what the intensity of your acne redness is also. This is ‘ground zero’ knowledge you must possess in order to undertake a successful treatment regime.

Natural remedies can, when properly applied they can be very effective for good, long-term results and better overall health. They will also serve you far better longer term, with few (and generally no) side effects at all.

Keep in mind that every person has a different acne and skin type which is why there is no universal approach or ultimate method or product that can work the same way. Your treatment options to reduce redness and inflammation as well as prevent more zits and permanent scars from occurring should be a combination of internal and external therapies. Treating the outer surface will keep your skin looking clean and fresh while treating your inner system helps stop the development especially during its initial phases.

It may take around 2 to 3 weeks for pimples to show on the skin surface so noticeable results may range from 6 to 8 weeks or even longer. There are quick fixes available but these are only temporary and you need to work on a long -term but effective treatment regime. An effective process of ridding the skin disorder takes time so patience is a requirement, as with any good skincare regime. External therapies will usually rely on anti-acne products and botanical extracts while internal therapies for acne, including acne redness, will be based on diet, supplements and lifestyle practices.

Be consistent if you’re treating your acne redness topically and develop a near-religious system to treat your skin. Regular face washing is important and there are some good natural products that you can use to treat the redness. I like tea tree oil, grapefruit seed extract and also the very good Manuka honey or bee propolis, which has had some very encouraging benefits indeed.

When washing the skin make sure you are doing so carefully using warm water, not hot, and a clean flanel. You need to do so consistently for a period of around one to two minutes because you need to not only remove the oils that are causing the bacterial infection, but also exfoliate the skin. This is absolutely fundamental to successfully treating acne redness or acne infection.

Many of these natural products have both an antibacterial effect as well as carrying anti-inflammatory properties which can significantly reduce or eliminate both acne redness and inflammation. You may then use various natural producyts that can help provide your skin with its revitalization – products like aloe vera and lavender.

You should keep away from oily products and alcohol-based products, which can stimulate sebum (oil) production leading to worse acne redness, as I discuss in my Acne Skin Care site. Also take care to apply these products carefully without excessive rubbing or scrubbing, which will serve only to further aggravate and irritate the skin and lead to greater redness.
